 Nani clarifies statement about refusing to appear on Koffee With Karan: ‘I’ll not give away anything, might be boring’

Telugu actor Nani made many headlines after he stated that he would refuse to appear on filmmaker Karan Johar’s popular talk show Koffee With Karan if he is ever invited. In his recent interview, the actor clarified his statement, saying that he ‘might be boring’ for the show.

Speaking to Baradwaj Rangan on Galatta Plus, Nani explained his previous remark on Koffee With Karan. He said, “Everything is taken out of context these days. It is nothing against the show. I love watching Koffee With Karan. I am also sure that I am not the guy for that show. I might be very boring also because I won’t be talking about anything. I will not give away anything and it’s a fun show and I would love to talk to Karan about cinema but if it is this gift and rapid-fire thing I don’t think I fit in that. When they asked me, ‘What are you going to do when you are going to be on the couch?’ I said, ‘I don’t think I will be on the couch.’ That’s how it came.”

In an earlier round table meeting organised by India Today, Nani was asked what would be his response if he was asked to appear on Koffee with Karan. The actor expressed reservations about appearing on the show and shared that he keeps his personal life private.

He said, “I will definitely say no to Koffee with Karan. I would say that very politely to him, but I will definitely go and visit him personally and talk.”

Nani is currently busy promoting his upcoming film, Hi Nanna. The family drama film is written and directed by debutant Shouryuv. It is produced by Mohan Cherukuri (CVM), Dr Vijender Reddy Teegala, and Murthy K.S, under Vyra Entertainments. The film stars Nani and Mrunal Thakur in the lead roles.
